John's Progress
Well, I know I have been gone from fb, and my blog for the last 5 months or so, but our lives have been full of trauma, pain, suffering and constant chemotherapy for John......The miracle of it all, is that he is having his 3rd to last treatment today, for Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. He was diagnosed back in October, after being very ill for the previous months starting in May 2011. The miracle of it all, is his body has reacted very well to the chemo, and shrunk his tumor to a very small size! I know that through the many prayers, many kind thoughts and deeds of all of you, our friends, and our Lord, we have been able to get through these last months. Thank You so very much! You know who you are!
He still has a lot ahead of him, but we will get through it! I count my many blessings daily! Love to all, Susie ♥

Hi Kids, I am finally getting around to posting my new pictures of my garage sale finds, ie; The Eiffel Tower pic, and The Flat Iron building in New York City. I got them for a really great price at a neighbors garage sale. I put them together with some framed artwork that I finished framing, and sorta-kinda put them up, but I am not quite finished yet! Not sure what else to do with everything, but I will get my inspiration soon to finish it! There are also pics of my corner garden of butterflies and birdhouses, attached to my tree branches, but I am not quite finished there either......I will be back,,,I promise! :) Later.........

Well I know I posted these pics of my flower garden on FB a while ago, but here they are on my blog, along with my magical dragonfly lights that I installed at the beginning of summer to add some dramatic effects to my garden! Hey, it is the only thing that keeps me from going totally insane, is to be able to work in the dirt and watch my flowers grow and look beautiful! I also actually have some tomatoes that are still green, but growing like crazy, that I gave to John for his Father's day/Birthday/Anniversary gifts. Three wonderful tomato plants, a pumpkin plant, and a zucchini plant. The later 2 plants have orange blossoms on them, so there might actually be some time left in this summer of ours, to grow a squash or two! We will see kids! Anyways, here are my pictures of everything! Keep enjoying this wonderful weather, Western Washington! Sooz :)

My Johnny
Here is a picture of John since his surgery 2 weeks ago today! He keep losing weight, and is looking really great! Keep up the good work dear! :)
totally exhausted!!!
Hey there kids.....these last few to say the least weeks and months have nearly killed me! I have been taking care of my sick and post surgical husband. He had his gall bladder removed 2 weeks ago today, and he is doing okay, but still has pain from the whole pancreatitis issue! Time will tell!
I have also been taking care of my mother in law, who is also recovering from surgery, and it makes for a very weary Mom here! I will survive it all, I just need a vacation now!
I have wanted to do something creative, but have not had the energy, so this week, I am going to take time out just for me, and craft my soul out! I have so many cute things to make, and quilt, it isn't even funny! My Mother, bless her heart let me have custody of two very precious heirloom quilt tops that a cousin of her mother made years and years ago. The grandma's flower garden was all sewn together piece by piece by hand....NO MACHINES were involved. It is an absolute work of art. And the other quilt top is beautiful with little tiny squares, but it was put together by machine, but is equally gorgeous! Now i just have to get a non- rainy Seattle day to put them up outside in the driveway where I have room for my quilting stands, and then i will roll them up after I pin the layers together to quilt on my large oval hand quilting stand. Weeeee,,I get to have the most fun! I will post some before and after pictures! :)
